maracucho77 Posted June 30, 2004 at 06:28 AM Report Posted June 30, 2004 at 06:28 AM Well, my semester of studies is pretty much over. I thought about it and I want to continue to stay in Beijing for another semester's duration. My program at BLCU is now over, I'm thinking of moving on up and joining some other friend's over at TsingHua University as an option, but more and more people have been going with the 'alternative route' of going to the smaller privately ran Chinese language schools. Well, is that like snake oil or what? What am I going to forfeit? Some people are ecstatic due to the price of tuition and they say you have more talk time and there are fewer classmates which means, more time to speak, listen, etc... Not to sure, yet but I'll inquire some more. Could be a good option as I can save some tuition money and get myself into a nice apartment with the difference of money I'm saving. Main concern is my VISA situation, can i get one of those JW202 forms through a small school? Remaining in China is obviously a great concern as well as continuing my study. i'll have do a search online, and call up some of the agencies that has brought so many of my buddies here in Beijing from their native countries, maybe they will help.
