davemm Posted December 28, 2008 at 03:57 PM Report Posted December 28, 2008 at 03:57 PM Hi, I'm just starting to learn Mandarin. A friend sent me an ecard with the following greeting xie xie ni,sheng dan kuai le,ni de zhong wen hen hao.hen bang. chai li-彩 I can understand some of it "thank you, merry christmas, your chinese is very good' but I don't understand the phrase hen bang and the words after them. Can anyone possible assist me? Thanks in advance. Dave Quote
yersi Posted December 29, 2008 at 03:22 AM Report Posted December 29, 2008 at 03:22 AM hen3 bang4 很棒 means "great" or "awesome". Under that is her name (柴麗?), I think and then some encoding garble. I tried every encoding in Firefox and nothing would render it legible, maybe someone else here has better skills than me. Quote
