danli Posted January 22, 2009 at 04:23 PM Report Posted January 22, 2009 at 04:23 PM (edited) How are these online english schools getting money from people in china? I see they accept only the typical credit cards or paypal. But most chinse use Alipay . . .not paypal. And I dont know any chinese students who have these credit cards. Is there some other way to get payments for education services from chinese in China? Edited January 22, 2009 at 05:28 PM by imron Quote
roddy Posted January 22, 2009 at 05:42 PM Report Posted January 22, 2009 at 05:42 PM Increasing number of people have credit cards - maybe not university students, but professional workers who might want to do some online English study may well do. Don't think Paypal China and Paypal Rest of the World link up yet though. Short of international bank transfers, I don't know of any other ways to do it. There's also the possibility that these schools aren't actually making any money. Quote
