randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:32 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:32 PM I really want to watch the CCTV New Year's Gala RIGHT NOW, but can't find a site where I can watch it online without having to download any potentially harmful software. Any suggestions? I really want to watch this! (I know this is kind of last minute, seeing that the show has probably already started....) Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:39 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:39 PM Try this, specifically for users overseas. Working for me from Beijing - use IE though. http://spring.cctv.com/zhiboout/index.shtml Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:41 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:41 PM Actually maybe not, that appears to be the CCTV9 dubbed version or something. Try this one http://spring.cctv.com/zhibo/02/21/index.shtml Quote

roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:59 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 01:59 PM Seemed to be running a minute or so behind the TV, which means I can spoil all the jokes for you . . . 哈哈哈哈哈。。占有。。。战友。。。。哈哈哈哈哈。。。。 Quote
randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:06 PM Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:06 PM That would imply that the jokes were funny in the first place.... Oh no, the ticket was in the HAT the whole time (not funny) Quote
randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:07 PM Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:07 PM And now its just pathetic! Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:09 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:09 PM In case you're wondering, that's not network issues - they really are that out of sync . . . Quote
randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:09 PM Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:09 PM BTW, only the CCTV9 version is working for me, the other one is too slow. Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:10 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:10 PM Might be worth installing the plugins for this one http://spring.cctv.com/p2pcctvzhibo_1/index.shtml shouldn't actually break your computer and it might be more watchable. Quote
Guest realmayo Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:11 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:11 PM someone told me there are some British brothers? Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:13 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:13 PM On the 晚会? Haven't seen any yet, but I didn't watch the start. Quote
randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:15 PM Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:15 PM Its not really live anyways, right? I remember that they had some great slow motion shots ...during what was supposed to be a 直播 broadcast. I think there is a delay of about 30 minutes. Quote
Guest realmayo Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:18 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:18 PM I can't believe Roddy just talked me into allowing a CCTV computer programme full access to my registry, etc ... can't seem to get it to work, though the Europe version of Phoenix TV is showing the show via satellite, starting 7.30pm. btw, have you seen this "CCAV" spoof? http://www.danwei.org/humor/ccav_on_group_housing.php Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:21 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:21 PM If you're that easily talked into doing stuff, I have some 100Y notes I'd like you to change . . . Haven't seen that video, but will take a look. No idea what's going on with this navy sketch - apart from anything else, the car park outside appears to be under artillery bombardment and I can't hear. Quote
randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:21 PM Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:21 PM http://spring.cctv.com/zhiboout/index.shtml You don't need to install anything for this one. Like Roddy said, be sure to use IE. Quote
Guest realmayo Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:23 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:23 PM got it working, thanks. not than I can understand more than a teeny bit. Quote
randall_flagg Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:25 PM Author Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:25 PM the 配音 of the 主持人 makes it even funnier! Quote
roddy Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:25 PM Report Posted January 25, 2009 at 02:25 PM The plugin is P2P, which basically means that CCTV takes over your computer for a while and uses it as a server to stream video to everyone else on the planet - but you also get them streaming stuff to you. Theoretically it should be quicker, although you'll likely want to uninstall it once it's served its purpose. Song about mothers . . . check . . Quote
