kiran Posted January 27, 2009 at 10:51 PM Report Posted January 27, 2009 at 10:51 PM Basically it is my friend's birthday coming up soon and I thought I would make her something really nice. She wrote her name on my hand once but I can't make out how the name is written in chinese. The name is Dai Lisi, but I am not sure what the accents etc are. I have a picture of the name that she wrote on my hand...if anyone can show me a picture or something of how it is written it would be very much appreciated! Thanks Quote
vampire Posted January 28, 2009 at 11:19 AM Report Posted January 28, 2009 at 11:19 AM a four character name doesn't make sense for a chinese but the two characters 李 and 丽 in the middle of your hand are homophones so I guess your friend's name is either 戴李斯 or 戴丽斯 Quote
Lu Posted January 28, 2009 at 10:01 PM Report Posted January 28, 2009 at 10:01 PM 戴丽斯 seems to me the more likely option. Quote
kiran Posted January 30, 2009 at 01:44 PM Author Report Posted January 30, 2009 at 01:44 PM Hi guys, thanks for you help, it is very much appreciated!!!!!... I think that her name is 戴丽斯. I think she wrote the Li character because I may have asked her how our friend's name "Li" was spelt (but im not sure as this was 2 months ago )! I might have to find out from her friend if it is 戴丽斯 or with the Li, but I really am hesitant I don't want anyone knowing what the present is! I will let you guys know what happens! Thanks again Quote
