I am looking to translate a poem (of sorts) for my online jewelry store, www.cinsummer.com I am integrating an intro page that will have the poem displayed in many different languages and I want to be sure the Cantonese translation is correct, because I do not have a proper keyboard for the symbols, this is a difficult task for me. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!! Text to be translated: You stop. You like it, It´s beautiful. You ponder, you wonder. BrandeX Posted February 12, 2009 at 09:46 AM Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 at 09:46 AM There is no such thing as a "chinese keyboard"/proper symbols. I assume you want standard written chinese and not something in cantonese colloquial or slang?
CSStyle Posted February 12, 2009 at 09:55 AM Author Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 at 09:55 AM Oh, I'm sorry for my ignorance! That is exactly why I needed help. and please pardon my lack of knowledge again, but will the standard written Chinese be the most recognizable and cultural format? If so, yes, that is what I am looking for. thank you!
BrandeX Posted February 13, 2009 at 09:23 AM Report Share Posted February 13, 2009 at 09:23 AM Well poems don't follow standard sentence grammar rules in English, how about: 你 停止 你 喜欢 是 美丽 你 考虑 你 奇迹 你 探索 but best to get another opinion from someone who is actually good at writing
staticx Posted February 13, 2009 at 09:28 AM Report Share Posted February 13, 2009 at 09:28 AM 'wonder' here actually has two different meanings. one is miracle。这是名词 the other meaning is 'think deeply' . 动词 clearly here it's mean 思考 or 冥想 best regards
