This is actually the last post in the link leeyah posted which contained a forum. I plan on knocking that out before taking on kdd. Kdd looks a little too comprehensive for me. So I plan on comparing to my 成语小词典 to weed out least commonly used ones. Quote
chrix Posted June 12, 2009 at 12:23 AM Report Posted June 12, 2009 at 12:23 AM in my opinion, the best chengyu dictionary available online is the one published by the Taiwanese Ministry of Education: http://dict.idioms.moe.edu.tw/ : For a core-group of 1,500 chengyu (5,000 including all variants) they have extensive information incl. text sources, thorough explanation of the background and usage examples. They have also basic info on thousands of other chengyu... Quote
