simplyolaf Posted March 17, 2009 at 02:19 PM Author Report Posted March 17, 2009 at 02:19 PM I think we are one step forward in improving the audio and video quality. There are still somethings I don't like but we are honing as we go along. http://www.visualmandarin.com/lesson.action?lesson.id=10 What do you think about the sound for this lesson? Ignore the dressing and the plant on the top of the table. I don't like those either In answer to Simon: We want to keep the content free and try to see if we can derive some income from advertising. I do agree that the current exercises are a bit inflexible but they are good for the beginners. Similarly to popup chinese we will be introducing lessons for intermediate/advanced learners and a lot of HSK exercises. More exercise types will be added as we go along. Unfortunately we can't do that all in one day. Another feature that is almost completed is a chinese dictionary with stroke orders for characters. Those that want to write chinese characters will probably appreciate that feature more. Quote
simplyolaf Posted March 17, 2009 at 02:21 PM Author Report Posted March 17, 2009 at 02:21 PM Roddy, perhaps the way the sound was recorded is the problem. Maybe your sound card just doesn't like it. We will be recording new sounds for the exercises with a proper sound card(audigy or something like that). I will ask for your feedback again if you don't mind Quote
