Songs are in Mandarin, Cantonese, or English, NOT Shanghainese.

You can hear quite a bit of Shanghainese (female) narration.

The reason I'm posting this here is there isn't a lot of resources to hear normal and flowing Shanghainese speech. So this is pretty good.

Some major phonological features of Shanghainese are voicing of consonants (existence of [z], [v], , [d], [g], [Z], [dZ] all of which Mandarin lacks), lack of diphthongs, and Rusheng as a glottal or semi-glottal stop. Core vocabulary and grammatical differences also exist. Mandarin pronunciation of words are frequently inserted in conversation.

Yeah, I think so too. Wu (Shanghainese, Jiang-Zhe) and Xiang (Hunanese) are closely related; they were originally one dialect group and mutually intelligible until Gan/Hakka cut in between. Also the vocabulary and phonology for both Wu and Xiang have been heavily influenced by Mandarin, but in somewhat different ways.

If you knew some conversion rules between Shanghainese and Mandarin, you would probably understand 75% of the narrator.

Wow, Shanghainese sounds like a good mix of Mandarin and Cantonese...interesting! I've never actually heard that dialect before.
