anxoperez Posted March 22, 2009 at 07:03 PM Report Posted March 22, 2009 at 07:03 PM I understand that bàoqiàn can be used in 2 different ways. The first one is: wǒ hěn bàoqiàn...X..., i.e., wo hen baoqian mei gei ni da dianhua And the second one is: duì X wǒ hen baoqian OR wei X wo hen baoqian, i.e., wǒ wei wo shuo de hua hen baoqian. Can anyone tell me when should the first be used and when should the second one be used? Quote
CrisPal Posted March 23, 2009 at 02:07 AM Report Posted March 23, 2009 at 02:07 AM There is no significent different between the two ways. for eg,the 2nd sentense can be said : wo hen bao qian wo shuo le na yang de hua (我很抱歉我说了那样的话.) while, the first one can be said : wo wei mei you gei ni da dian hua er gan dao bao qian . (我为没有给你打电话而感到抱歉). Quote
Zoemyy Posted March 23, 2009 at 02:29 AM Report Posted March 23, 2009 at 02:29 AM There is something different. wo hen baoqian mei gei ni da dianhua can be translated into: I am sorry I didn't call you. wǒ wei wo shuo de hua hen baoqian can be translated into: I am sorry for what I said. dui/wei + noun phrase+ wo hen bao qian wo hen bao qian + verb phrase For example, wo hen bao qian wo sa huang le( I am sorry I lied.) wo wei wo sa de huang gan dao bao qian(I am sorry for my lie.)
