We've all been thinking about how to translate 'concerned', but what about 'river'? How do we know it's a 河? It might be a 江, or even a 溪 or 川 or something.

I figure it's gotta be a 河, seeing that 江s aren't very personable, 溪s are too small to care and 川s tend to "go with the flow" and are seldom concerned about anything. ;)

I agree with that, and I think we’ve got ourselves a winner, anyway:

what's the best way of saying "The river is concerned (or worried)" in traditional chinese?

紧张兮兮的小河

忧心忡忡的小河

Sounds beautiful...doesn't it? =*

Me? The winner? Wow, thanks! I had to pinch myself to make sure it's not a dream.

I wasn't even serious. I just thought it was kind of cute......:wink:

...... anyway, 我要感谢我的父母,我的老师......:lol::lol:
