Janick Posted April 8, 2009 at 08:45 PM Report Share Posted April 8, 2009 at 08:45 PM Hi this will hopefully be really quick... can someone please tell me what the following means in english? I hope I copied it correctly...all I know is that the middle character means day... Any help is appreciated. It might not make sense as I didn't have time to copy the last character. http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/janick616/0408091642.jpg
hanxue Posted April 9, 2009 at 07:15 AM Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 at 07:15 AM Well the 3rd one appears to be 吉, which means auspicious, but I can't recognize the 1st one.
imron Posted April 9, 2009 at 07:25 AM Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 at 07:25 AM The third one looks more like 壴 to me, which is a rather rare character. I wonder if it was meant to be 喜?
hanxue Posted April 9, 2009 at 08:37 AM Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 at 08:37 AM ^^true, it actually does look more like 壴. I didn't pay attention to the very bottom part of it, as in the pic it didn't seem like it was a part of the character.
roddy Posted April 9, 2009 at 08:51 AM Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 at 08:51 AM First one I would guess is meant to be 我?
