kaox0018 Posted April 20, 2009 at 12:50 AM Report Posted April 20, 2009 at 12:50 AM how would you say something like "he'll get married eventually." or "she'll be here sooner or later." I was thinking about the words i've found through the dictionary like 必然, 遲早, 早晚 since i've never seen these used in context, i dont know how to use them. I am guessing "他早晚會結婚" "她早晚會來." Quote
Ch_X_En Posted April 20, 2009 at 01:28 AM Report Posted April 20, 2009 at 01:28 AM there is almost no difference between "迟早" 和 “早晚”, that means you can use “迟早” wherever “早晚” is used. 必然 means "must", "definitely", etc Quote
Ch_X_En Posted April 20, 2009 at 02:12 AM Report Posted April 20, 2009 at 02:12 AM for the first sentence, we can say "他终归会结婚" Quote

skylee Posted April 20, 2009 at 07:40 AM Report Posted April 20, 2009 at 07:40 AM Am I the only one who thinks that there should be a 的 if the phrase is at the end of a sentence? For the marriage sentence, I think “他總是會結婚的" is also ok. Quote
