geek_frappa Posted July 15, 2004 at 01:46 AM Report Posted July 15, 2004 at 01:46 AM I'm not Bill Gates. So, releasing my source code would be stupid. However, if it helps people, maybe I should... what do you think? Then again, I am pretty stupid. Quote
Jamie Posted July 15, 2004 at 04:13 AM Report Posted July 15, 2004 at 04:13 AM I've often thought that some of the programmers on this board could pool their individual projects to create a supersite of tools for learning Chinese. If you're hesitant about sharing your source code maybe you could start with a select few that you think could really help expand on what you've started. There seem to be a good number of coders on this board. Quote

Konglong Posted July 15, 2004 at 05:07 AM Report Posted July 15, 2004 at 05:07 AM I would love to have the source to create a customized subject dictionary targeted for a specific audience on my own website. (religion) Over time, if you would like, I could also submit my dictionary content to be placed in your main database. K Quote
Haoqide Posted July 28, 2004 at 05:30 PM Report Posted July 28, 2004 at 05:30 PM Yeah, I'm all for your releasing your source code, Geek. I mean, the more people look at it, the more stable it will become. It would probably make it faster and more featuresque in the long run. Quote
geek_frappa Posted August 7, 2004 at 12:56 AM Author Report Posted August 7, 2004 at 12:56 AM ok ... hmm let me think about this a little more ... how much would you pay for simple, easy-to-use dictionary scripts? (free for personal, how much for business?) US$5.00?? Quote
