Tailor in Beijing

Dad's given me a mission to purchase shirts for him. His budget isn't restrictive, probably 300-450 for a shirt, but the quality has to be here. I assume this means buying imported fabric. I'm only acquainted with the tailors that populate the tourist dens. Any recommendations?

You're being taken for a ride at that price, regardless of the material.

Surely if he's prepared to pay that price, and is going to be using imported material, he could just get the shirts overseas? :conf

Brooks doesn't make his size and the Big and Tall stores aren't to his taste. He gets his shirts made in the States too, but at a much higher price.

My parents are coming to Beijing this weekend and my mom is bringing her own fabric along with some examples of what she wants. Does anyone have a rough idea of how much it may cost for a simple jacket without paying for fabric? Without buttons or zippers around 30 kuai?
