tgray88 Posted April 30, 2009 at 03:35 AM Report Posted April 30, 2009 at 03:35 AM I'm going to Jilin University this Fall and I was wondering if anyone attended this University and could share their opinions on it. Is the Chinese program good? How is the city? What did you most like or dislike about the University? Quote
aristotle1990 Posted May 2, 2009 at 12:43 AM Report Posted May 2, 2009 at 12:43 AM Actually, I'm calling up the consulate on Monday to see if I can be sent to a more remote institution (in fall 2009), preferably in Dongbei. I considered Jilin University but ultimately decided against it; not remote enough, I guess. (From what I've heard, though, it's a reputable university, and Wikipedia seems to agree.) Jilin Normal University is more like it, but I may well go insane in Siping... (But it does look kind of neat in this video. Nice and quiet.) I'm also considering Jiamusi University -- I don't know how that place manages to attract 600 or so foreigners, especially given that it's -20 degrees Celsius there in the winter. Must be something good up there, right? Quote
