character Posted May 2, 2009 at 11:21 PM Report Share Posted May 2, 2009 at 11:21 PM I'd like to make image captures of some Chinese films I have with the Traditional Chinese subs so I can make vocabulary lists. I've had trouble getting the (not-burned-in) subs to appear in the final image. I've tried using VCDs but the resolution of the subs is too low. Is there some Linux or Mac or PC software which does this? How does one configure it to do so?
eeraser Posted May 3, 2009 at 06:15 AM Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 at 06:15 AM I like screen hunter Pro, not too expensive for windows. You have to turn off hardware acceleration, but they have a good support site that explains it. I forget the Apple program they use at work, but I am sure you can find something at www.versiontracker.com
Tommi Posted May 3, 2009 at 04:12 PM Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 at 04:12 PM Try The KMPlayer, very complete settings for subtitles, just choose a clear and large sized font should do it, saving still images is a built-in feature. querido Posted May 10, 2009 at 11:34 AM Report Share Posted May 10, 2009 at 11:34 AM I use ksnapshot. Capture the full screen, one window, a specified section of a window, or select a region with the mouse. Save as .bmp, .jpg, etc. Extremely simple, and free.
