Juuuu Posted May 6, 2009 at 02:50 PM Report Posted May 6, 2009 at 02:50 PM I am going to set a pin-yin software/tool into my home computor for typing pin-yin. 1) a safe and reliable software/tool of typing Chinese pin-yin for traditional and simplified Chinese? (preferred those will directly have Chinese charactor printed on my document, eg. word ...etc. instead of going through other steps to proceed, eg copy and paste.., if possible) 2) Could you suggest a safe and reliable website to translate from : a. English to Chinese charactor b. English to Chinese charactor with symbol of tone c. simplified/traditional Chinese charactor to Chinese charactor with symbol of tone d. simplified/traditional Chinese charactor to English charactor e. pin-yin to simplified/traditional Chinese charactor 3) My tool bar & smiles on this page "Post New Thread" are not working. The desired format never show but only the letter/numbers of description of that particular icon on the tool bar. eg. As I bold the word "boy', then 'boy' was not bolded but only showed 'boy' Please help. Tks / ju Quote
krinque Posted May 31, 2009 at 12:27 PM Report Posted May 31, 2009 at 12:27 PM I use google input tool: http://www.google.com/ime/pinyin/ and I find it very useful. You switch between english and chinese typing using Shift and after letter u, you can write using sequence of strokes (you don't need to know pronunciation), try typing uphshzpn. Quote
Brianlee0311 Posted June 4, 2009 at 11:39 PM Report Posted June 4, 2009 at 11:39 PM I suggest you can try Penpower Chinese Expert. It is a software, not website, so you can use without internet. It is like a dictionary to do translation to fit your need. a. English to Chinese charactor b. English to Chinese charactor with symbol of tone c. simplified/traditional Chinese charactor to Chinese charactor with symbol of tone d. simplified/traditional Chinese charactor to English charactor http://www.penpowerinc.com/5_0service/5_1_2_03download_pce.html For pin-yin input, Google is good. http://www.google.com/ime/pinyin/ Quote
