Learning to Read Chinese as a Heritage Speaker

Recommended Posts

Posted

I was born in the states and grew up speaking mandarin. I've taken a few Chinese classes but have really forgotten everything - and really have the vocabulary of a grade schooler. does anyone have any recommendations on how i can best elevate my Chinese in terms of reading sentences / characters etc. I've been looking through courses in Manhattan but i hesitate in taking a beginners course because of the focus on spoken language.

Any other heritage speakers would like to comment?
