吃饭了不？

I wasn't familiar with this, but I've just seen the following sentence in a modern soap opera:

老爷，我来你高兴不？

It was pronounced as a clear "bu", though.

Yep, it will be a contraction of 我来你高兴不高兴, which would make it a different construction from 吃饭了不.
