Movies which are easy to understand

Hello!

I want to ask you if you know some movies i can watch. They can be cartoons too (i really prefer the cartoons). But, because i'm a begginer in studying Chinese (just one yar of studying), i would prefer some movies which i will easy understand. I'm watching La Bi Xiao Xin (in Chinese) when i have some free time. And i understand a lot, especially beacause they have Chinese subtitles. I would like something like that. I also heard of Mu Lan and i'll look for it.

I would like to ask you if you can also tell me a name of a famous soap opera which is now popular in China. And then i can watch it on youku. But this is my problem... i don't know names. I want something like "Devil beside you" (Emo zai shenbian) - but in putonghua. This soap opera is one of my favourites. I watched it before i started to learn Chinese and this is the reason i went to this college.

Thank you.

I guess we really have a publicity problem :-?

We have a whole subforum dedicated to TV series.

There are about 50 different TV series discussed there, most have summaries and vocabulary lists. All have links to youku, youtube, emule and/or torrents.

This thread and this thread have the overview, with links.

You should look at the difficulty ranking and pick some shows ranked "Elementary" or "Lower Intermediate" and try them out. You could try 花樣少年少女, which is simple and based on a manga (but uses traditional characters), or you could have a look at 奋斗 , which is a popular mainland show for which there are EXTENSIVE summaries, discussions and vocabulary lists, for all 32 episodes. But there's plenty to choose from at the lower-intermediate scale.

You could also try 魔幻手机, which might be slightly more difficult in some ways, but madly entertaining.

I really like 我的父亲母亲 (English title 'The Road Home'). There are several scenes where the language is spoken clearly and slowly. Also, you can download a PDF of the opening monologue (with Hanzi, Pinyin and English dictionary) from here.

No need to be sorry.

I'm just surprised more people don't know about it.
