english interview/newscasts (with chinese trans)

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get into a bit of english to chinese consecutive oral interpretation.

Plan A is: find some interviews with corresponding chinese translation

Plan B is: find some newscasts with corresponding chinese translation

Plan C is: find tv drama/movies english/chinese subtitles

Content can be pretty much anything. I know plan c is there, but I would like to perform consecutive interpretation with unscripted text if possible, so mainly looking for translated interviews.

Thanks for any help!

Do a search on youku for any foreign tv show or movie. You'll have english sound plus Chinese subtitles (although with varying degrees of accuracy ).

Also search youku for any number of famous/well-known people/speeches, and you'll often find ones with Chinese subtitles, for example, Randy Pausch's Last Lecture.

For a series of good Chinese-English business type articles, I can recommend the Open for Business Lessons in Chinese Commerce for the millenium by Jane Kuo. The Chinese texts contain Chinese business and financial terms which are translated into very good English equivalent texts. However, only the Chinese texts are read out.

Thanks guys for the advice, and yes I'm looking for english content with chinese translation. As expected, finding interviews is tough. I'll youku around as imron suggested, might get lucky. At least I know there are tons of english tv series and movies with chinese subtitles out there to pull from.

Edit: gf just informed me of 《高端访问》
