diff Posted June 19, 2009 at 11:59 AM Report Posted June 19, 2009 at 11:59 AM Hi, I'm thinking about switching over to a Mac - one of my major concerns is that Google's Pinyin IME is not available for Mac. I know there are several IME's available for Mac but I would like to hear some first-hand experiences from users who are/were actually using both IME's. Are there major drawbacks, huge differences, etc.? What should I expect? What should I be prepared for? Best, d Quote
imron Posted June 19, 2009 at 02:08 PM Report Posted June 19, 2009 at 02:08 PM The free input methods are nowhere near as good as the google IME. QIM, which costs $20 (but also has a 10,000 character trial) is just as good. It appears to use the Sogou dictionary for sentence prediction. Do a search on the forums for QIM and FIT and you should find plenty of posts discussing their relative strengths and weaknesses. Quote
