Kessha Posted June 20, 2009 at 06:32 PM Report Share Posted June 20, 2009 at 06:32 PM Hello! I am kind of helpless when it comes to some words/expressions, especially this ones: 一下儿 一会儿 一点儿 / 点儿 (do they have the same meaning?) 有一点儿 一些儿 怎么样 / 怎么 (what's the difference?) Can anybody please explain to me what they all mean/when I have to use them? Thanks a lot!
renzhe Posted June 20, 2009 at 07:27 PM Report Share Posted June 20, 2009 at 07:27 PM 一下(儿) used after a verb to indicate "a bit" or to have a go at something. 看一下 = 看看 = to have a look 一会儿 "a short while". 待一会儿 = in a moment, in a short while (一)点(儿) "a little bit". Used with adjectives and to denote quantity. 我有点儿累 = I'm a bit tired 一些 some. 一些人 = some people 怎么 means how. 怎么办 = how should we act, 你怎么知道 = how do you know? 怎么样 is simply a special case, meaning "what is (it) like"? 她的男朋友怎么样 = what's her boyfriend like?
