skyyy Posted July 3, 2009 at 04:34 AM Report Posted July 3, 2009 at 04:34 AM Hi all, I am new to this forum and hope there will be someone to answer my questions. I have been accepted as a general visiting student at Beida for fall 2009. I applied directly to Beida because my home college doesnt have an agreement with Beida. My admission package doesn't provide any information about housing. I called both shaoyuan and the international office but basically i got the same answers "自己解决" (settle yourself) Does it mean that I have to find accommodation outside the school myself? It seems kind of ridiculous that they would expect non-Chinese student to find accommodation themselves outside school. I though shaoyuan is meant specifically for international student, so should I just arrive in September and take it from there? Quote
roddy Posted July 3, 2009 at 05:02 AM Report Posted July 3, 2009 at 05:02 AM Don't know anything specifically about Beida, but it's perfectly common for students to find their own accommodation off campus - apart from anything else, it's by far and away the best value for money. Finding an apartment can be a hassle, but it's not impossible. Have a read of this. Quote
