Chinese study group in Beijing

Character? What's that? You mean pinyin, right?

I started with pinyin and I'm not really ready to make the transition to character recognition yet. Those students who can read, write and speak Chinese really blow me away.

I do have a fav pinyin word though; xiōngdìjiěmèi -Something nice about the way it rolls off the tongue.

Is there a format for this study group or do you just kind of wing it?

Well, we kind of hijacked the 'study group' thread, so it's not really a study group, more a meeting of like minded people, so there is no format or anything. Maybe we should really leave this thread to actual *study groups*, but so far nobody has complained
