leeyah Posted July 11, 2009 at 10:14 AM Report Posted July 11, 2009 at 10:14 AM Korean automobile brand? Baidu gives: 双龙 ·享御 = SangYong Kyron Quote
BrandeX Posted July 11, 2009 at 11:29 AM Report Posted July 11, 2009 at 11:29 AM The appears to be one model, not a brand. Maybe he meant "Kryon" http://www.kryon.com/About_Kryon/About_Kryon.html alternatively, you could always use the "chinese alphabet" rofl http://www.hanzismatter.com/2006/08/gibberish-asian-font-mystery-solved.html Quote
leeyah Posted July 11, 2009 at 11:51 AM Report Posted July 11, 2009 at 11:51 AM (edited) I'm no expert in cars, but yes, BrandeX is right, if it's referring to the car, then it's a model, as in 'kyron series': 享御系列车型 of Sangyong (双龙) brand >> 双龙 享御 系列 车型 shuanglong-xiangyu(kyron)-xilie(series)-chexing(model) Note that the name Kyron is not simply transliterated into Chinese, for marketing appeal purposes, obviously. This is common with many foreign brands. The meaning of the name matters a lot, it sells the product, so: 享御 is a good translation:enjoy driving (享 means enjoy & 御 means 赶车 drive a car. Its basic meaning is ‘control’) >>SangYong Kyron pics Edited July 11, 2009 at 12:05 PM by leeyah Quote
