astrophilscript Posted July 12, 2009 at 07:19 PM Report Posted July 12, 2009 at 07:19 PM Can anyone give me the spices used in making chaunr seasoning? The stuff was so common on the streets of Beijing, and I love to be able to make some of my own back here in the States. Thanks! Quote
liuzhou Posted July 13, 2009 at 06:33 AM Report Posted July 13, 2009 at 06:33 AM It's just cumin and chile. Quote
teaforme Posted July 13, 2009 at 03:20 PM Report Posted July 13, 2009 at 03:20 PM It's cumin powder, chili powder, ginger powder, and fennel powder. Cumin and chili alone aren't quite right. Fennel gives it that extra something, and ginger helps cancel out the gamey flavor of lamb and beef. Quote
