Life's ups and downs take turns 昨朝面上桃花色. Yesterday morning your face was the colour of peach blossom 今日头边雪片浮. Today it is covered with snow The second character in the second line should be 沤, not 呕 (vomit) 浮沤. 一生事业 can be understood as one's way through life, life's effort.
