Picasa Blocked in China

I use Picasa Web Albums (a Google product) to post travel snapshots on line so my friends back home can have a look. The last three weeks or so it seems to be blocked. I can navigate to the page but cannot see any photos there, not even my own.

Has anybody else who uses it experienced difficulty in recent days?

Just had a quick look - I can get the pages, but the server on which the images are hosted - subdomans of ggpht.com - is blocked, which makes it a bit useless.

That's the same experience I had there. It's useless in that crippled state.

Yep. But /etc is a symbolic link to /private/etc, so /etc/hosts works just as well.
