anonymoose Posted August 2, 2009 at 04:04 PM Report Posted August 2, 2009 at 04:04 PM A google search for "说得她好像是" comes up with over 2000 example, like 说得她好像是天仙美女似的; 她只是觉得挺好玩的,又不是喜欢上男人的,说得她好像是色女一样; 漂亮女生非常同情地忽闪着大眼睛,说得她好像是男生似的; 说得她好像是占着那啥,不干那啥似的 However, by putting a pronoun such as 你 in front to give "你说得她好像是" returns a google search with no results at all. What is it about this phrase that precludes placing a pronoun before it? I think that a similar meaning can be achieved by using 把, namely 你把她說得好像是(怎麼怎麼) although a google search did not turn up any results for this either. Is it just that these phrases are so obscure that they have not appeared on the net thus far, or is there something wrong with the grammar that precludes them from being used? Quote
muyongshi Posted August 2, 2009 at 04:28 PM Report Posted August 2, 2009 at 04:28 PM It's probably neither. There are most likely people that have typed that phrase into some web page but it all has to do with the way google and all search engines indexes those pages so that specific of phrase while used, most likely has never shown up in any of their indexing. That's my guess anyway. Quote
addnox Posted August 3, 2009 at 12:04 AM Report Posted August 3, 2009 at 12:04 AM Yeah, you're right in the part that 把她说得像 and 说得她像 are basically the same. But here are some examples that may help you to clarify the tiny differences between them: 把她说得像 follows more often a person, ie 你把她说得像. It is more like: you put it as she is... while 说得她像 follows a particular description,ie 你说她又美丽又聪明,说得她像一个天使一样. which literally means that "the way you described her makes people feel like that she was an angel hope it could help Quote
roddy Posted August 3, 2009 at 07:06 AM Report Posted August 3, 2009 at 07:06 AM Bear in mind you're limited your sample a great deal by specifying the less common 她 - change your search to 他 and the numbers change (although the 你说得他... one is still very rare). no results at all. Not any more Quote
