AxelManbow Posted August 5, 2009 at 04:03 PM Report Posted August 5, 2009 at 04:03 PM Is the wording something like 'High School Diploma or Equivalent' I'm from the UK, which has no High School Diploma (mainstream, anyway, thank goodness), but does have an equivalent. Can you think of an 'equivalent' for the country you're from? I've helped a couple of friends' friends come here to study at 19 and 20, they did not have a problem entering. What sort of qualifications do you have, and how old are you? While China can be funny with nationalities of developing countries, as long as anyone has a legitimate reason for being here I've found there are generally few problems. roddy Posted August 5, 2009 at 04:22 PM Report Posted August 5, 2009 at 04:22 PM What actual schools are you looking at? Many private schools (most, I'd say) will have you on a tourist or business visa rather than a student visa. I suspect those listing that requirement could be easily persuaded to ignore it - in fact, I doubt they'd even ask you to prove you meet it. Quote
