Difficulty getting on to chinese-forums?

Is chinese-forums blocked, or super slow, for anyone? I'm on here via a proxy, can't get on otherwise. Same goes for certain foreign websites, eg bbc.co.uk.

I should add, http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/ works very fast!

Sounds like a personal problem {since I seem to get misread a lot- it's a joke}

Could be local or because you are using the proxy, the great firewall may be chocking the bandwidth. I'm not having any issues.

I really wish people would specify where they are and what ISP they're using, or at least use the location field on their profile, when posting stuff like this.

Given that you've got the same problem with other overseas-based websites and we've currently got plenty of people online from all over China, I don't see that this is a forums issue.

OK sorry, I should have been more specific, I just expected a binary response, either -- lots of people would say they had started having problems, or no one. It was odd that it seemed to be foreign news sites that were broken, as well as chinese-forums, and not, say, sports ones, but I guess coincidence, and anyway, all is back up and running now.
