Translating Chinese on Mobile Phone

Recommended Posts

Posted

Living in China I usually receive SMS in Chinese that I cannot understand.

My mobile phone is provided by with a English to Chinese dictionary but not the other way around.

I would like to be able to copy / paste single characters / sentences into an application that translates them in a similar way I can do on the Internet.

I guess this is not a new problem so I would welcome any suggestion on what are the most popular solutions even if they imply buying a new phone.

Thanks in advance.

I recently bought a new touch screen phone and purchased the 'plecodict' chinese software that has been often mentioned on this site. It costs a little bit (100$us) but in my opinion it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend checking out their product.
