Good textbooks in traditional Chinese?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I'm looking for good beginner's textbooks written in traditional Chinese. Unfortunately, most of the books I've read good things about (Teach Yourself Chinese by Liz Scurfield, Beginner's Chinese by Yong Ho, etc.) are in simplified.

I've heard good things about Integrated Chinese (which has a traditional Chinese edition available) and John De Francis' Beginning Chinese, but both of these have their own downsides from what I've read.

I'll really appreciate any suggestions for good textbooks written in traditional Chinese that have decent grammar explanations, grammar/writing exercises, audio CDs or tapes available, and pinyin transcriptions and English translations of everything.

Thanks!
