Are there Chinese games that DON'T require IDs? I don't want to get in trouble with Chinese government >.> It seems they don't want foreigners who speak Chinese to play alongside. The thing is most gamers wouldn't go to the Chinese website because they wouldn't understand...:help

google for 身份证号码生成器 or play in private servers

the ID thing is for 网络游戏防沉迷系统, something that intend to prevent teenagers from playing online games all day long.

select a place(province/city/district) and birth date then it will generate some IDs, with an ID and a random chinese name you can register an account to play. These IDs are fake (wont get you into any trouble), the only thing is you will be cataloged as "under 18 years old" group and your account will become a limited account -- can only play for 40 hours at the most per week, and after playing for 5 hours continuously exp/item drop rate/money etc will be greatly reduced.

If they can confirm this, how come they let you keep playing if they determine you have a fake ID? (just curious that's all :))

they are only confirming whether you are an adult or not, if you are under 18 or cant prove you are an adult your account will have playing time limit.

Some of them will be "free-to-play" but none of them will be free, and will suck your money in other ways

And the popular German browser-based mmorpg, Travian, has been fairly popular in China too. The official Chinese edition is called 部落戰爭. It's free , but you can pay for more advantages.

Wondering why you're interested in chinese mmorpg?
