(Another) Chinese online dictionary for absolute beginners (et al.)

Just came across two sites which may be interesting (primarily) to beginners:

http://www.chinesedic.com/

which linked to

http://www.chinesetools.eu/

They provide word lists with words/phrases also in image format, just click on grey coloured on the left, nice calligraphy, too + characters/words given through examples in sentences, pinyin tones in colours (good for visual learners!)+ handwriting recognition, plus you can print practice sheets + flashcards and aif audio files for each character, etc etc.

Additional features include eg. a page for Chinese tattoo fans  Chinese Zodiac/calendar , your name in Chinese painting generator (similar to what you can find on 多语net) etc etc etc

Enjoy!

Hey, this is very cool. It has the English, French, simplified and non-simplified Chinese. And it does not seem to have originated in China. I wonder if there is a way to check what the entries are based on, if they are based on reliable resources, and how many entries in total.

Thanks for the links!
