Anyone in 沈阳 who could do me a small favor?

Hi

Well, is there anyone in 沈阳 that would be willing to go through the trouble of buying a postcard featuring the town and sending it to me, a random stranger in Europe? Ideally, you would also be able to embellish it by writing a short sentence in Chinese on the back.

This would be part of small surprise for a native of 沈阳.

I'd be eternally grateful. Plus, I promise to pay back the cost of postage and postcard the next time I'm in China.

Postcards are not widely available in China as they are in Europe, and if you can find any (probably in a Xinhua Bookshop), then they don't tend to be sold individually.

Really? I almost thought so. But is that true even in more touristy spots like Beijing or Xi'an? Because I did get a postcard from the Olympics.

Perfectly understandable - I could make changes, but then it'll be less cute and you'll get less of a response. Can I suggest you offer to send a postcard in return though, rather than the return of postage costs. Although it is probably going to be necessary for whoever to buy a pack of ten . . .

Or there's always Shenyang: The DVD. And I'm sure you could get old postcards on Ebay.
