Winter sports in Harbin - Curling?

I used to curl in high school in Canada but gave it up in university because it got too expensive. I see signs for the 2009 Winter Universidade that past earlier this year so I know that there is curling in this city, but I was wondering if any forum-goers are involved in winter sports in Harbin or have used the facilities at the Harbin Ice Sports Training Base? I think it might be a nice exploring activity for the winter when I'm not inclined to do much else.
