roddy Posted December 12, 2013 at 09:59 AM Report Posted December 12, 2013 at 09:59 AM It's really good to see you back, Xinyu, and it sounds like you're putting a lot of effort in. Best of luck! Quote
roddy Posted June 17, 2014 at 09:59 AM Report Posted June 17, 2014 at 09:59 AM I notice Slow-chinese.com is now selling PDF transcripts with some pinyin annotation. Has anyone tried these out? Recommended purchase? I can't see any samples on their site, perhaps some could be made available... Quote
afterchineseschool Posted January 22, 2015 at 09:00 PM Report Posted January 22, 2015 at 09:00 PM You can actually get samples of podcast 1-3 . I personally wouldn't recommend because you can just use a pop-up dictionary such as ZhongWen Chrome plugin. Also the PDF is only in simplified and words that forms phrases are not coupled together so it's hard to distinguish what the phrases are. An alternative is to copy & paste the text into mandarinspot.com/annotate. Nonetheless, I still really enjoy the content, and might consider donating to support their operations. I would guess the site doesn't generate enough revenue to pay for full-time employees. Quote
