kirstine Posted September 6, 2009 at 01:19 PM Report Share Posted September 6, 2009 at 01:19 PM Hi there! I'm studying Chinese, but need some help to translate this correct. My mom wants to apply for a job and they write in their jobdescribtion, among other thing, "Would you like to write to a Chinese person?" where my mom would like to write as an answer: "Yes I would, but it would have to be in English". or something similar with the same meaning... I hope, somebody can help me. It´s a bit urgent too...:S Thanks Regards Kirstine
muyongshi Posted September 7, 2009 at 01:31 AM Report Share Posted September 7, 2009 at 01:31 AM The context is a bit fuzzy for me but something like: 要,不过得用英语写 would/should work.
Erbse Posted September 7, 2009 at 01:35 AM Report Share Posted September 7, 2009 at 01:35 AM If the application has to be in Chinese and she has to talk to Chinese persons, I can hardly imagine that English will do. Are You sure about this?
muyongshi Posted September 7, 2009 at 01:39 AM Report Share Posted September 7, 2009 at 01:39 AM Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. Not to mention what type of "writing" are they referring to. I guess it would also depend a lot on the type of job that she is applying for.
