XiaoXi Posted September 16, 2009 at 03:13 PM Report Posted September 16, 2009 at 03:13 PM Is there anywhere in Tianjin that Marmite can be purchased? I'm assuming not but its worth a try. Quote
Questyn Posted September 16, 2009 at 10:45 PM Report Posted September 16, 2009 at 10:45 PM Marmite was something I used to see in import food shops when I lived in a smaller city than TianJin... so I think if you can locate a foreign food store, it's likely that Marmite is there. If it's not though, see if the shop owner will get it for you when they place an order for products from the UK or Australia. If they know people want a product that may encourage them to carry it. Plus, it keeps well. ~ An American who knows what you're talking about. Quote
skylee Posted September 17, 2009 at 12:50 PM Report Posted September 17, 2009 at 12:50 PM Maybe they are not the same but will Bovril do? I think they taste the same. And Bovril seems to be more popular .... Sorry I have no idea where to get either in Tianjin. Quote
XiaoXi Posted September 19, 2009 at 10:25 AM Author Report Posted September 19, 2009 at 10:25 AM Bovril is a drink isn't it? Marmite is more popular than Bovril in the west. I never met anyone that actually liked Bovril in fact. I guess in China its different. Anyway I guess I can ask some shop that sells Western food to order some in perhaps. Quote
