libertango Posted September 18, 2009 at 05:25 PM Report Posted September 18, 2009 at 05:25 PM I've had difficulty describing this to people. If I want to say that I shaved my head (not so that it is bald, but say, 1/4 of an inch...the important thing being that one took an electric razor and went over their head...), what words should I use? I've used "gua1 tou2" but that doesn't seem to go over very well. I never used ti1tou2 because it appears to imply that you are now bald. (Sorry, I'm using a work computer and can't type in characters.) Quote

kdavid Posted September 18, 2009 at 11:29 PM Report Posted September 18, 2009 at 11:29 PM The word for "buzz cut" is 卡尺. I've used that before. I know the pinyin there is correct (ka3chi3), but not sure about the characters. Quote
