xuechengfeng Posted August 4, 2004 at 07:27 PM Report Posted August 4, 2004 at 07:27 PM 你能用中文向我問好嗎?你在哪里學中文? Someone asked me this and I know most of them, but let me see if I'm right, if not Are you able to use Chinese towards me to ask questions? In what city do you study Chinese? If this is right, do they have characters for Columbus, Ohio or would you just answer 我在columbus, ohio 學中文。 Quote
ChineseHeel Posted August 4, 2004 at 08:06 PM Report Posted August 4, 2004 at 08:06 PM You probably didn't get the first part correct. The more accurate translation is: Can you use Chinese to say hello to me? Where did you learn your Chinese? Your answer is fine, but to be more clear, you can say "我是在Ohio的Columbus学的中文". If you want the names in Chinese instead of English, Ohio is 俄亥俄; Columbus could be 哥伦布. If you can say these names, people will be really impressed. Quote
