文艺广播 - 甜蜜蜜 Literature and Art broadcast - sweet/honey

I am listening to a Beijing radio station online http://www.rbc.cn/ - I can't follow much, but listening to the fast speech /sound patterns is good.

Coming up is 文艺广播 11:00 甜蜜蜜 which I understand as

Literature and Art broadcast (program) - at 11 AM - sweet/honey

But why the second 蜜 ? Does it emphasize the meaning or change it ?

Yes, that song has the same title. I am still not clear why the second 蜜 is used.

Don't know how to name it in english,see examples:

甜蜜蜜，

笑吟吟，

红扑扑，

水灵灵，

黑漆漆，

清凌凌，

懒洋洋，

胖乎乎，

甜蜜 is sweet and you add one more 蜜 to it to make it more sweet.

(But don't add more than one 蜜, or it'll be too sweet and therefore ruined)

Your examples of how this duplication is used are helpful.

A popup dictionary translates 懒洋洋 as lazily

and 胖乎乎 as chubby
