Where did you get those from? I've never heard of 中国欣快症 (??!) or 新中家,are you sure it's Chinese and not eg. Japanese or some dialect?

中国迷 for sinophile is common in colloquial and really cute, but somehow it sounds a bit too "enraptured" (reminds me of 狂喜!) , so I looked up some more sober i.e. academical options:

喜爱中国文化者

赞成中国政策的 (this one is good!)

喜欢中国特性的

Yes, I prefer '华' to '中'. It includes overseas Chinese all over the world.

I would choose 哈华族 or 哈华迷 in preference to the others.

Doesn't a "中国发烧友" come from China? It can be ambiguous.

You're probably right. 中国通 isn't the same as "sinophile" (since 中国通 doesn't necessarily imply fascination with China, although it probably usually does in practice), but I've never heard the term 中国迷 before, whereas 中国通 is fairly common.

It's all in the name, really.

中国通 refers to Sinologist, Sinologue, connoisseur of China & Chinese culture, (i.e. what in the West is usually called "China expert") and not Sinophile. Same as 汉学家, except that the latter can also denote a Chinese (person) specialist in Chinese studies (汉学) whereas 中国通 obviously carries a slightly different connotation: a (foreign) person who has a good knowledge (通) of China.

中国迷 is quite emotional. Imagine ... a non-Chinese person who is for some reason or other fascinated with everything "made in China" ... It's almost romantic.

So I'd go for 华迷. Sounds kind of neutral.

There are more than one ways to do write that, some aren't half as nice...

But, why do it when it's already been done>>新浪 as in Sina.com sounds good.
