mxian Posted October 1, 2009 at 01:38 AM Report Posted October 1, 2009 at 01:38 AM I understand 道 = "tao, the way" and 本 = root, the bottom part of a tree. So, 道本 = foundation of tao or root of a tree. But I've just heard someone mentioning that 道本 is also a book. So, does that mean 三道本 = 3 books. If that's true, can 道本 be any book, or must it mean a book about tao (道)? Please help clarifying this. Thank you in advance. Quote
