jngai Posted October 1, 2009 at 06:25 AM Report Posted October 1, 2009 at 06:25 AM I've recently left the UK to live in China for a year and before I left, I had my first Hep B jab. I still need 2 more installments, so I was just wondering where I could get it done. I'm at BNU, so if there's anywhere around there? Also, approximate prices would be good and maybe any other requirements. Many thanks, Quote
roddy Posted October 2, 2009 at 04:45 AM Report Posted October 2, 2009 at 04:45 AM According to the internet, virtually any hospital. Jishuitan Hospital will do it - that's pretty close. If you don't fancy negotiating the process in Chinese, you could try the Peking Union at Dongdan, or the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital at wherever it is - they'll be more likely to have English speakers on hand I think. There's also the Hong Kong International Clinic at the Swissotel at Dongsishitiao. Is there any kind of clinic on campus? They might be able to tell you where's nearest / recommended. You might want to think about whether you want to pay a bit more to avoid having your jabs in front of an eager audience though. I can see costs reported as under 20Y to about 100Y. Any ex-pat orientated place may well be more expensive, and request you have a 'consultation' before the injection which you may also pay for. Quote
jobin Posted October 2, 2009 at 07:22 AM Report Posted October 2, 2009 at 07:22 AM If you need or want a western medicine hospital or clinic in BJ, then United Family Hospital, is the best place to go for treatment. It is out in Chaoyang, near the Lido Holiday Inn hotel. If cost is your first concern, then of course, go chinese. Your problem may well be solved by chinese injection. Quote
XiaoBin Posted October 9, 2009 at 02:01 PM Report Posted October 9, 2009 at 02:01 PM I asked this same question to IMC in Beijing. They replied: "Regarding HepB shot - yes, you can do it in IMC. Cost for HepB vaccination - RMB 360.0 plus simple visit for vaccination RMB 240.00 (doctor needs to check your vaccination book and results for anti-body test)." http://www.imcclinics.com/ Quote
