tiachopvutru Posted October 1, 2009 at 11:03 PM Report Posted October 1, 2009 at 11:03 PM I got the book Rapid Literacy in Chinese because I liked what I hear about the method, but now that I have gone through two chapters and felt my memory of the characters slipping, I wonder if anyone here who has learned using this book tell me the method they use to learn. I know I gotta memorize twenty five sentences, but beyond that, I don't have anything concrete to set out my study routine. Now I only look at the sentence, try to read it out loud, and try remembering it by looking at it, while realizing that that way is horribly inefficient. Quote
Scoobyqueen Posted October 2, 2009 at 09:56 AM Report Posted October 2, 2009 at 09:56 AM I used that book and really liked it. I wrote out by hand the 25 sentences until the characters stuck. Quote
nerdish Posted March 28, 2010 at 08:06 AM Report Posted March 28, 2010 at 08:06 AM I'm about halfway through this book. I would like to know what you all studied after it? Is there another text you'd advise to continue your intermediate studies without any major hiccups in transition? Thanks in advance Quote
