q335r49 Posted October 11, 2009 at 09:37 PM Report Posted October 11, 2009 at 09:37 PM 窃慕上客风致,愿奉顷刻之欢,可乎? I was looking up 风致 in the dictionary (http://www.zdic.net/cd/ci/9/ZdicE9ZdicA2ZdicA8349687.htm) and came across this phrase. My guess is: "If one secretly envies the dignity of the higher guests, or if one wants to receive a of their happiness, is this possible?" Is this close? I wonder because it seems a bit unusual. skylee Posted October 11, 2009 at 11:30 PM Report Posted October 11, 2009 at 11:30 PM Consider "I adore the charm and style of my honoured guest, and would like to share a moment of happiness with you (the guest), is this possible?" Context - the woman is offering herself to the guest. Here is the full story -> http://www.civcn.com/guji/Article/print_36249.html Quote
q335r49 Posted October 12, 2009 at 07:01 AM Author Report Posted October 12, 2009 at 07:01 AM Thanks for the translation and the source... I read through the text and it's a bit difficult for me, grammar-wise. Is there a translation anywhere, either to English or to modern Chinese? Quote
